European gas prices top $3,200 for the first time since March last year

Trading data on the London Stock Exchange (ICE) showed that gas prices in Europe today, Thursday, for the first time since March last year, overcame the mark of $3,200 per thousand cubic meters.

By 10:10 Moscow time, gas futures jumped 8% to $3232.5 per thousand cubic meters.

And last Friday, the Russian energy company Gazprom announced that the flow of natural gas through the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline (the pipeline for pumping gas from Russia to Germany) will be stopped for three days, from August 31 to September 2. due to planned renovations.
