EU foreign ministers discussed the creation of a military assistance mission to Ukraine during a meeting in New York.

The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the European Union discussed proposals for the creation of a mission to provide military assistance to Ukraine.

“Today, all ministers have decided to continue helping Ukraine. We will continue to use the EU arms financing mechanism,” Josep Borrell, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, told reporters on Monday.

He noted that the decision to create an EU mission for military assistance to Ukraine could be taken at a meeting of EU foreign ministers in October.
