Erdogan visits Uzbekistan and the USA

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan plans to visit Uzbekistan and the United States from September 15 to 22.

Erdogan will travel to Uzbekistan on Thursday at the invitation of his colleague Shavkat Mirziyoyev to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit as a guest of honor, according to a statement released by the Turkish presidential communications department. on Thursday and Friday.

The statement added that Turkey, which has become a “communication partner” in the organization since 2012, is participating for the first time at the summit at the level of the country’s president.

Erdogan is expected to deliver a speech at Friday’s summit and hold a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines.

Following the summit, the Turkish president will travel to New York, USA, to attend the 77th UN General Assembly, where he is expected to deliver a speech on the first day of the meeting on 20 September.

The Turkish President is expected to hold meetings with UN Secretary General António Guterres and a number of his colleagues and heads of government.

During his visit to the United States from September 17 to 22, Erdogan is expected to meet with representatives of Turkish civil organizations in America, as well as attend an event organized by the Turkish American Business Council.
