Erdogan Tebbun: Turkey wants to increase cooperation with Algeria in the energy sector

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said his country wants to increase cooperation with Algeria in the energy sector, especially natural gas.

This happened during a telephone conversation with his Algerian counterpart Abdelmajid Tebbun.

During the telephone conversation, the two presidents discussed the existing relations between Turkey and Algeria, as well as regional issues, according to a statement released by the Communications Department of the Turkish President’s Office.

Erdogan expressed his desire to increase cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector, especially in the gas sector, as well as in all other areas.

The President of Turkey thanked Tebbun for the sincere steps he took in the fight against the terrorist organization FETO.

Erdogan hailed the “exceptional level” that relations between the two countries have reached.

The Algerian president said that Tebbun and Erdogan discussed “the good bilateral relations that bind the two countries and the issues of concern to the two friendly peoples.”

In a statement released by the official Algerian news agency, she added that the Turkish President congratulated Tebbun on Algeria’s success in organizing a reunification conference to achieve unity among the Palestinian factions.

According to the statement, Erdogan wished President Tebbun “to achieve another success in rallying the ranks of the Arab brothers through the Arab League summit, which will be held on November 1 in Algiers.”

Notably, during Tabun’s visit to Turkey in mid-May, the two countries signed 15 cooperation agreements covering various areas.
