"Eni": Company’s Algerian gas supplies to double by 2024

Guido Brusco, head of Italy’s Eni, said Tuesday that the company’s gas supplies to Algeria will double to 18 billion cubic meters a year by 2024.

Prosco said at a press conference in Milan that the company will receive four billion cubic meters of additional gas from Northern Europe this year, with the entire EastMed gas pipeline completed by 2025.

EastMed is a €6 billion ($5.97 billion) undersea pipeline designed to supply Europe with gas from the eastern Mediterranean via Israel, Greece and Cyprus, and has been in development for several years.
