Annual Inflation Rate in Egypt Rises to 39.7%

Egypt’s Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics announced that the annual inflation rate rose to 39.7% in August this year, compared to 15.3% in the same month last year.

Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics showed today, Sunday, that the overall consumer price index throughout the republic (inflation) for August last month increased by 1.6% month-on-month compared to the previous July and recorded 184.0 points.

Annual Inflation Rate in August

The Statistics Department explained that the annual inflation rate throughout the republic rose to 39.7% in August, compared to 15.3% for the same month in 2022.
