The Egyptian refereeing committee, headed by Portuguese Vitor Pereira, has decided to remove international referee Amin Omar from managing Zamalek’s league matches in the coming period.

Investigation into Arbitration Decisions

The committee decided to summon Amin Omar to an investigation at the Jabaliya headquarters to discuss some of his arbitration decisions regarding the Zamalek-Arab Contractors match.

Formal Complaint Filed by Zamalek FC

This comes after Zamalek FC lodged a formal complaint with the Egyptian Football Association against Amin Omar, the referee of the Mokawlun match.

Draw with Arab Contractors

On Monday, Zamalek drew with Arab Contractors in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League with a score of 1-1.

Zamalek’s Demand for Omar’s Removal

In a statement, Zamalek said it was demanding that referee Amin Omar be removed from managing matches in the future because he belongs to one of the rival teams.

Controversial Refereeing Decisions

The match saw some controversial refereeing decisions, in particular the disallowance of Zamalek’s goal and the lack of a penalty in favor of the white team.
