The General Directorate for Supply of Goods, which is the state buyer of grain in Egypt, said it has entered into a contract to purchase 815,000 tons of wheat from overseas markets.
She stated that the quantity purchased includes 350,000 tons of French wheat, 240,000 tons of Romanian wheat, 175,000 tons of Russian wheat and 50,000 tons of Bulgarian wheat.
The department added that the batch will be shipped in August, September and October this year.
