Dozens of French deputies denounce politics "Erdogan’s war" on the Kurds

About 100 French parliamentarians condemned the “war policy” pursued by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan against the Kurds in northern Syria.

They added that Western countries should not turn away, urging EU member states to ensure the protection of Kurdish activists and associations on European soil.

They also called on France to call on the UN Security Council to impose a no-fly zone in northern Syria and place the Syrian Kurds under international protection, and also demanded that an autonomous administration in northern and eastern Syria be able to benefit from international recognition. .

Erdogan has repeatedly threatened to launch a military attack against Kurdish fighters in northern Syria in order to create a safe zone following the 2019 operation.
