Donetsk.. Horlivka mayor denies chemical hazard to city

Ivan Prikhodko, mayor of Horlivka, Donetsk, confirmed that the Ukrainian bombing of the Sterol industrial complex in the city did not result in a chemical hazard, and that the fire had started in a nearby building materials warehouse.

“From a Ukrainian shell, a fire broke out in a building materials warehouse in the neighboring Sterol plant, from which black plumes of smoke rose, which were seen by the residents of the area,” Prikhodko wrote on Telegram.

“Currently, fire brigades are extinguishing the fire, there is no chemical threat to residents,” he added.
