Dominic Raab has announced his resignation as UK Deputy Prime Minister and Attorney General.

Attorney General and Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab announced his resignation from both positions and said he would no longer work in the office of the new Prime Minister Liz Terrace.

“Thank you to the wonderful team of the Ministry of Finance for their hard work last year, good luck to the new prime minister and her team,” the politician wrote on his Twitter account.

“I’m counting on the support of the government from the back,” Raab added, referring to the seat he now occupies in the House of Commons.

Cabinet ministers typically occupy the front row in the House of Representatives, including Raab, such as former Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
