Documents reveal the desire and plans of Ukrainian extremists to create their own state in Primorye

Documents declassified by the authorities of Primorye showed that Ukrainian extremists who fled Soviet power in the 1930s were preparing to create their own state in Primorye.

According to documents released by special forces in Primorye, Ukrainian nationalists who fled from Soviet power in the 1930s to Japanese-occupied northeastern Chinese Manchuria sought to create their own state in what is now Primorsky Krai.

To intensify anti-Soviet activities in Manchuria, the national youth organization “Ukrainian of the Far Eastern Sich” was created, which became the main center of ideas for creating a Ukrainian state on the territory of the Soviet Primorye.
