Despite receiving 6 vaccinations, Thai health minister returns to his country from Europe with a crown

Anutin Charnvirakul, Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, has contracted the coronavirus after returning from Europe, according to the Kingdom’s Ministry of Health.

The Minister of Health of Thailand was with a delegation in France on June 20-21 and in Switzerland on June 21-24. Upon his return to Thailand on June 26, he felt pain in his muscles and throat, and when he tested positive for the Corona virus, he received advice from doctors to isolate himself for a week to receive treatment.

Notably, on February 28, 2021, the Thai Minister of Health became the first person in his country to be vaccinated against the Corona virus. On June 13 this year, charnviracol received its sixth vaccine from Pfizer.

In Thailand, with a population of 69.6 million people, the first case of coronavirus was detected on January 13, 2020. The Ministry of Health reported on Tuesday that 1.7 thousand people were infected daily and 13 deaths.

Currently, the total number of infected people has exceeded 4.51 million, more than 4.46 million people have recovered, 30.6 thousand patients have died, more than 53 million people have been fully vaccinated in the country.
