Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak said that a final agreement on the Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline, designed to pump gas from Russia to China, is expected to be concluded in the near future.

“In the near future, we expect to reach final agreements on the Power of Siberia-2, which is about 50 billion cubic meters of gas,” the Russian official said, noting that China’s energy market is actively developing. .

The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia added that Russia is increasing the supply of blue fuel to China through the Power of Siberia, and that the parties are discussing the supply of liquefied natural gas.

The Power of Siberia is a gas pipeline designed to transport Russian natural gas from fields in the Russian Far East to China, deliveries through it to China began on December 2, 2019.

Currently, Moscow and Beijing are discussing the construction of a new Power of Siberia-2 branch to meet the growing demand for gas in China.
