Defense of Russia: We eliminated Georgian mercenaries involved in the torture and murder of Russian soldiers in Ukraine

The Russian Defense Ministry said that the Georgian mercenaries involved in the brutal torture and murder of Russian soldiers in March in Ukraine have been eliminated.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Russian Armed Forces eliminated yesterday, Sunday, two sabotage and reconnaissance groups, which included 14 foreigners, three kilometers from the Lyshchansky oil refinery in the Lugansk People’s Republic.

The ministry said that “the first group was ‘international’ and consisted of citizens from different European countries. The second group included only mercenaries from Georgia, who were part of the so-called “Georgian Legion”.

This legion has been confirmed to include mercenaries and criminals in its ranks.

The department indicated that they have full information and details about each mercenary involved in bullying, torture and brutal murders of Russian soldiers, “we found them and punished them.”
In mid-April, Verkhovna Rada deputy Aleksey Goncharenko recorded a video message with the former Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Georgy Baramidze, saying that about 400 mercenaries from Georgia had arrived in Ukraine.
