Defense of Russia: Kyiv continues to provoke and threaten a nuclear disaster in Zaporozhye

The Russian Defense Ministry said that the Kyiv regime continues provocations aimed at creating a threat of an artificial nuclear catastrophe at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

The department said that over the past day, Ukrainian forces recorded two artillery shelling of this station.

During this, Ukrainian artillery fired 9 shells, three of which hit the area of ​​special building No. 2, which is used to store new TVEL nuclear fuel, as well as solid radioactive waste.

The first Ukrainian bombing damaged the pipelines at the plant, and during the second bombing, one shell fell in the area of ​​​​the sixth block and five more shells in front of the sixth pumping station, which provides cooling for this reactor.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the nuclear plant was shelled by Ukrainian forces stationed in the city of Marievka, Dnepropetrovsk region.

According to the agency, during a skirmish between artillery batteries, units of the Russian army managed to detect Ukrainian guns and destroy them with oncoming fire.

The ministry confirmed that the radiation situation in and around the station is still within normal limits.
