Death of an Egyptian boxer by knockout

The railway club in Tanta has announced the death of Egyptian boxer Ramez Hossam at the age of 17 due to a cerebral hemorrhage.

Hossam fell into a coma as a result of several fatal blows from his opponent at the end of the Republican Youth Championship, where he was placed on respirators at Tanta University Hospital, to no avail.

A state of sadness gripped the people of the city of Tanta in Gharbiya Governorate over the death of player Ramez Hossam, and his funeral and burial took place in his hometown in Cairo Governorate.

The railway club in Tanta witnessed an incident that occurred during the start of the Republican Boxing Championship, where a decisive duel took place between the injured and another boxer, ending with the first defeat by knockout last Thursday.

Ramez was able to stand after the announcement of his defeat, soon fell to the ground and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he breathed his last today.
