Dead and missing in floods in southwest China

At least six people have died and 12 are missing in flooding in southwest China’s Sichuan province, China Central Television reported.

Television reported that “as of 7:00 am (local time), six people were killed and 12 were missing as a result of the flood.”

Torrential rains hit northern Sichuan on Friday and Saturday, causing floods that affected 22,300 people in 13 villages. In some areas, power lines were badly damaged, transport on the roads was disrupted, and search and rescue operations continue.
