Data on the Losses of the US Armed Forces to Remain Unpublished

John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator for the National Security Council at the White House, said that the US administration will not publish data on the losses of the Ukrainian armed forces.

“Today I will not talk about losses on the Ukrainian side, we never talk about Ukrainian losses in the war. And I don’t think we’re going to change that situation.”

According to him, the Kyiv authorities, if they have such a desire, they can publish the information. “We are not going to talk about their losses. They should talk about it themselves. I’m not going to report anything that would complicate their work.”

“I will not disclose information that will complicate the situation for Ukraine. If they decide to declassify and publicize the identity, that’s their business.”

Earlier, Scott Ritter, a former US intelligence officer and former UN inspector who oversaw the disposal of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction, said that losses among the Ukrainian army could be more than 300,000 killed.
