The British Daily Mail reported in a report today Wednesday that Spanish Real Madrid star Marco Asensio is opting to move to Milan at Liverpool’s expense during this summer’s Mercato.
Asensio’s contract with Real Madrid expires in the summer of 2023, but he refuses to renew it, wanting to move to a new team this summer.
And the Daily Mail newspaper pointed out that Asensio wants to leave Real Madrid due to the fact that he does not participate regularly in matches.
The newspaper indicated that Asensio preferred to join Milan’s ranks as his place in Liverpool’s starting XI was not guaranteed compared to his position should he choose to sign for the Rossoneri.
And the Daily Mail reported that Liverpool have more economic options than Milan to buy Asensio and pay him a year’s salary.
