Czech Prime Minister: We have exhausted Ukraine’s stocks of weapons

Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said his country had used up almost all of its stockpiles of weapons that it could provide to Ukraine.

“The Czech Republic has exhausted almost all of its stockpiles of weapons that it can provide to Ukraine,” Fiala said after meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

He stressed that his republic would continue to provide all possible assistance to this country.

The Czech Republic has transferred about 148 million euros worth of military aid to Ukraine, including tanks, missile systems and artillery. Viala also reaffirmed that the Czech Republic will fulfill its earlier commitments to NATO and increase its defense spending to at least 2% of gross domestic product by 2024. Viala and Stoltenberg also discussed preparations for the NATO summit in Madrid. . He stressed that his country supports the accession of Sweden and Finland to the alliance.
