Croatian Coric wins the Cincinnati Championship

Croatian Borna Coric, who won the title of Cincinnati American Tennis Masters (ATP 1000), which is held on hard courts, with a prize fund of more than 6 million 280 thousand dollars, presented a loud surprise.

The coronation of 152-year-old Borna Coric came at the expense of seventh-placed Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas after he beat him unanswered in straight sets 7-6 and 6-2 in the final. The match that took place between them today, on Sunday, lasted 1 hour 58 minutes.

25-year-old Caroline Garcia has won the third title in her professional career.

Notably, 24-year-old Stefanos Tsitsipas became the player with the most wins this year with 65 wins, including 19 in the 1,000-point Masters Championships, after beating Russia’s Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals of that tournament.

The Greek star became the champion of French Monte Carlo and Spanish Mallorca this year.
