Today, Thursday, the International Football Association (FIFA) published a new classification of football teams for the month of August after the end of the qualifying events for the World Cup and the African Cup of Nations.
According to the latest version of the classification released by FIFA, the positions of the teams in the top ten remained unchanged.
The Brazilian team took first place with 1835.56 points, followed by Belgium with 1821.92 points.
Argentina placed third, France fourth, England fifth, Spain sixth, Italy seventh, the Netherlands eighth, Portugal ninth and Denmark tenth.

The Russian national team retained 35th place, noting that the Russian Bear has not played a single match since November last year, after FIFA and the European Union “UEFA” suspended the participation of Russian teams and teams in international competitions following the results of the Russian special operation in Ukraine.

Senegal topped the monthly FIFA rankings on the African continent, followed by Morocco in second place, Tunisia in third, Nigeria in fourth, Cameroon in fifth and Egypt in sixth.

The Iranian team is still at the top of the Asian rankings, followed by Japan in third, South Korea and Australia in fourth, followed by the Arab teams of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Iraq respectively.
