Chinese President: Beijing is committed to deepening space cooperation with Arab countries

Chinese President Xi Jinping said at the summit on cooperation and development between Riyadh and the Gulf of China that Beijing is committed to deepening space cooperation with Arab countries and achieving joint success in this field.

According to China Central Television, Xi expressed his willingness to “achieve new innovations for space cooperation as China seeks to launch a series of cooperation projects with Gulf Cooperation Council countries in the fields of remote sensing satellites, communications, space applications and space infrastructure.”

The PRC President said, “His country is ready to cooperate in selecting astronaut training, and welcomes astronauts from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to go to the Chinese space station to work with Chinese astronauts and conduct space science experiments, and welcomes the Gulf Party to participate in cooperation on space transportation within the framework of space transportation”. Chinese space missions and research to establish a Chinese-Persian center for joint exploration of the moon and deep space.

The Gulf Cooperation Council is a regional organization that includes Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Saudi Arabia, and the PRC President is on a three-day visit to Riyadh on December 7-10.
