Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense announced that the Chinese army sent 20 aircraft and 14 warships to the island for the third day of large-scale exercises around Taiwan.
In addition to the heavy military transport aircraft, China sent 4 J-11 fighters, 4 J-16 fighters and 10 Su-30 fighters, the ministry said in a statement posted on its official Twitter page. and one Y-8 anti-submarine aircraft.
The statement added that Taiwan sent an air patrol to monitor the situation and deployed anti-aircraft missile systems.
China began live-fire military exercises around Taiwan last Thursday in response to US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan.
