China’s Permanent Representative to the UN Zhang Jun called for an immediate end to the attacks that threaten the security of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
“Bombing in the area of the Zaporizhzhya NPP does not stop. Her safety is a matter of concern. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, all six reactors have been shut down. The last power line, which guarantees the safety of nuclear power, was damaged by a bombing at the end of December, and electricity was restored only last week,” said Zhang Jun.
He added: “This should not happen again. All military operations that may affect the safety of the nuclear power plant must be stopped immediately.”
And Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Galuzin earlier confirmed that the consequences of Kyiv’s bombardment of the Zaporozhye railway station could be catastrophic.
