The American company Chevron announced that the easing of US sanctions allows it to sell its oil in Venezuela.

On Saturday, the US Treasury issued a six-month license allowing Chevron to produce and refine oil in cooperation with the Venezuelan PdVSA, and to supply the joint venture’s products to the US market.

“The issuance of the license means that Chevron is now able to sell oil currently produced through the company’s joint venture assets,” the company said in a statement. “We are committed to maintaining a constructive presence in this country and continue to support humanitarian action.” social investment programs.

He also confirmed that he would establish business in Venezuela within the framework set by the US authorities.

The company added that “the decision of the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Treasury increases the transparency of the Venezuelan oil sector.”

The US administration said that the decision to ease the sanctions imposed against Venezuela is due to the progress in the dialogue between the Venezuelan authorities and the opposition.
