Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernichenko said that the policy of discrimination against Russian athletes has led to a loss of “vigilance” and objective viewing pleasure at international competitions.

The International Olympic Committee recommended that sports federations not allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete because of the situation in Ukraine. The vast majority of international sports federations followed the advice of the International Olympic Committee. Thus, athletes from Russia and Belarus, most likely, will not be able to participate in the qualification for the Olympic Games in Paris.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will be held in Paris, France from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
