CNN Türk reported, citing sources in the Turkish Defense Ministry, that the Greek side used the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system to track Turkish F-16 fighters.

The channel added, “According to information received from the Turkish Ministry of Defense, a major accident occurred in August during a flight of Turkish F-16 fighter jets in international airspace over the Aegean Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean. This incident is not in the spirit of the coalition. During this time, the fighters were exposed. During this time, the S-300 target tracking and missile guidance radars tracked the movements of the Turkish fighters, and two anti-aircraft missiles were directed at the fighter, which was on a reconnaissance mission 10,000 feet west of Rhodes”.

The channel reported: “Despite these hostile actions, the aircraft completed their planned tasks and returned safely to their bases.”
