Central Turkey Shaken by New Earthquake

An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale hit Kayseri, central Turkey, at dawn today.

The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said the quake’s epicenter was in the Hegiler district of Kayseri.

The report says that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers below the surface of the earth.

There were no reports of casualties or property damage in the area.
