The Caspian Pipeline Consortium said it “will pay a fine of 5.3 billion rubles, confirmed by the appeal court for the oil spill in the Black Sea in the summer of 2021.”

The company’s commentary on the court decision read: “Caspian Pipeline Consortium, as a law-abiding company, will comply with the court decision and pay the fine within the time limits established by law. In the future, the association plans to defend its position in court. field.”

The oil spill accident occurred on August 7, 2021 from the Greek tanker Minerva Symphony near the city of Novorossiysk while loading from a tanker unit owned by the Consortium.
