British official: "Brexit" It doesn’t work and has caused huge damage to the UK

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan will give a speech calling on the British Prime Minister to recognize the enormous damage caused by Brexit and admit that Brexit does not work.

“After two years of denial, we now have to face the harsh truth… Brexit doesn’t work,” Khan, who opposes Brexit, said in a speech excerpted by Agence France-Presse.

He adds that Britain’s exit from the European Union “weakened our economy, destroyed our union and tarnished our reputation.”

“I simply cannot remain silent about the enormous damage caused by Brexit,” he continues, according to excerpts.

Khan does not see that the situation is “irreparable”, explaining that they need more compatibility with European neighbors through a different approach to the hard and difficult exit of Britain from the European Union, saying “a pragmatic discussion about the benefits of being a state in the customs union and the single market” .

In the words of the Mayor of London, “no one wants a return to the split and stalemate that has dominated the political system for five long years.” and talent that traveled to other European locations such as Paris and Amsterdam, according to Khan.

Brexit was a long-standing agreement between the UK and the EU that would govern relations between the two sides after the UK left the bloc.
