Bread prices in Israel are gradually rising, reaching about 20% in December

The Israeli Prime Minister specified that the price of bread in the country will increase gradually until the increase in prices in December reaches 20% for regular bread and 21% for sliced ​​bread compared to the current price of bread.

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid’s office said in a statement: “Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Economy and Industry Minister Orna Barbivai have agreed to adjust the increase in bread prices.”

“After several discussions on this issue, Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Minister of Economy and Industry Orna Barbivai agreed to reduce the increase in bread prices, the prices of three types of bread will gradually increase,” the report says.

The price of sliced ​​bread increases by 5.5%.

– The price of challah bread increased by 8%.

The price of regular bread is increased by 5%.

It was indicated that there would be an additional increase in December, as the prices of sliced ​​bread and challah would rise in accordance with the determination of the Price Committee, while the price of ordinary bread would increase by 21% (15% less than the price committee determines) by only three months.
