European Union Commissioner for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell stressed during a visit to Tehran today, Saturday, that “negotiations on the Iranian nuclear dossier will resume in the coming days.”
During a press conference in the Iranian capital Tehran, Josep Borrell said, “We will resume negotiations on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in the coming days,” referring to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.
“The main purpose of my visit is to break the current dynamics, that is, the dynamics of escalation, and break the deadlock in the negotiations,” Borrell added.
This morning Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian received Josep Borrell during his first visit to Tehran under the new Iranian government led by Ibrahim Raisi.
