Bogdanov: Moscow will increase cooperation with Tehran

Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov said that Tehran is a reliable partner of Moscow, and Russia intends to increase cooperation with it and join forces to resist external pressure.

Bogdanov added during the conference “Russia and Iran: Historical Similarities and Relations in the 16th-21st Centuries”: “We regard Iran as a reliable partner that thinks the same way as us in the context of global changes associated with the formation of a multipolar world. order and the collective efforts of the West. “The best response to these challenges is the further deepening of cooperation between independent countries, including Russia and Iran, despite the attempts of our opponents. We are pleased with such determination on both sides,” the Russian Deputy Minister continued.

Bogdanov stressed that “Russia and Iran are not only two neighboring countries, but also important partners in international affairs.”

In turn, Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali pointed to the importance of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Tehran next week.
