Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov received in Moscow the head of the joint Israeli delegation, Tamar Kaplan, and discussed with her the issue of the Jewish Migration Agency Sakhnot.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed relations between the two countries, as well as international and Middle Eastern issues of mutual interest.
Earlier, the Basmansky Court of Moscow reported that it had received a letter from the Russian Ministry of Justice demanding that the activities of the Jewish Agency in Russia be banned.
Subsequently, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov urged not to link the decision against the Sakhnot agency with relations between Russia and Israel.
