"bloomberg"SEFE Germany may incur 1 billion euros due to sanctions against Russia

Bloomberg, citing informed sources, said that the German company SEFE, a subsidiary of the Russian Gazprom, could lose one billion euros as a result of sanctions against Russia.

According to the agency, oil trading company Vitol may suspend gas imports from the German company, in which case the company will lose about a billion euros.

She pointed out that the contracts with the oil trader were signed when market prices were much lower, and the German company “categorically rejects the legality of the suspension of its gas imports and will continue to challenge it through all available channels.”

For its part, Vitol has previously said that it has the right to stop or suspend deliveries due to the change in ownership of SEFE, since Germany seized its assets in April.
