US President Joe Biden said he has not yet decided to run for a second term, but intends to do so.
Speaking about the issue, Biden said in an interview with CBS: “We’ll start by saying that I intend to run again, but that’s just the intention. As for the critical decision to run again, we’ll see how it goes.”
And the President of the United States continued in this context, stating: “I am doing my job and will do this job, and within a reasonable time frame after … the election cycle and the transition to next year, I will decide what to do”, noting that he considers this time “no, it’s too early” to talk about it, calling himself a person who “respects fate very much.”
Biden is the oldest president in US history, turning eighty on November 20, eighty-two at the start of a possible second term and eighty-six at the end of it.
It is noteworthy that the midterm elections in the United States will be held in November, after which the composition of the House of Representatives and the Senate will be updated by a third, and the presidential election will be held in 2024.
