Biden extends state of emergency"Possibility of foreign intervention" In the US elections

US President Joe Biden has ordered an extension of the state of emergency due to the “risk of election interference” in the US.

Biden asked Speaker of the House Nancy Policy to “continue the national emergency” beginning September 12 over the possibility of foreign interference or undermining public confidence in the United States elections.

This state of emergency system has been in place since September 12, 2018, when it was introduced by the administration of former President Donald Trump.

This decree provides the legal basis for the imposition of various sanctions against parties that the United States suspects of trying to influence the outcome and conduct of American elections or damage the electoral system.

Based on this decree, the United States imposed sanctions against a number of Russian figures and organizations after they were accused of interfering in US elections.
