US President Joe Biden condemned his predecessor Donald Trump for “watching” his supporters riot for hours during the Capitol storm as House and Senate police faced “medieval hell.”
“Courageous law enforcement survived three hours of medieval hell, shed blood in the midst of carnage, and faced the madness of the crowd who believed the lies of a failed president,” Biden said in a speech at the National Organization of African Law Enforcement Officials.
“For three hours, the former president of the United States, the loser, watched the whole thing from the comfort of a private dining room next to the Oval Office,” he added.
