Benzema’s Response to French Coach’s Comments on Being Labeled a Liar and Clown

Real Madrid French striker Karim Benzema has reacted to statements by his country coach Didier Deschamps about what happened before the veteran was left out of the Roosters squad for the World Cup in Qatar.

Deschamps said in his testimony: “When Benzema was injured, our doctor accompanied him to the clinic for an MRI and briefed Karim and the doctors in Madrid on the situation, and when he (the doctor) returned to the hotel after midnight, he presented me with a report.”

He added: “Our doctor’s diagnosis coincided with that of the Madrid doctors, and at best Benzema could not return to training before December 10, 2022”, that is, a week before the World Cup final.

He continued: “We stayed with him (Benzema) for 20 minutes and I asked him to check with the director of the France team, but when I woke up, I knew about his departure … It was his decision and he will not tell you otherwise, but I understood and respected his position.

Benzema sarcastically responded to Deschamps’ remarks by reposting them on his Instagram account, and wrote on them: “What impudence”, putting a clown emoji.

Benzema then posted a famous video on his account in which a man repeated: “Liar… you are a liar”, and the Real Madrid striker wrote on it: “Dear Didier… Good evening.”

It is noteworthy that the French team reached the final match of the World Cup in Qatar, but lost to its Argentine colleague on penalties 2:4 after the end of regular and extra time in a draw 3:3. on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar.
