Belarus threatens"Tough retaliation" In case of deployment of nuclear weapons in Poland and neighboring countries

Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said on Friday that Minsk is considering taking tough retaliatory measures to deploy nuclear arsenals on the territory of Poland and other neighboring countries.

“If nuclear weapons are already deployed on the territory of our neighboring countries, then we can take tougher steps,” Maki said in an interview with the Russian newspaper Izvestia.

Asked if “more comprehensive steps” meant deploying nuclear weapons on Belarusian territory, Makei said that “at the moment, no one can rule anything out, so I think our leaders have discussed those options as well.”

Polish President Andrzej Duda recently told the Polska newspaper that the absence of nuclear weapons in his country is a problem and that the issue of US nuclear weapons in Poland remains open.
