Against the backdrop of global instability, China is ready to strengthen cooperation with developing countries to build a more just world order, said Yang Jiechi, head of the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Communist Party of China.
The Chinese official noted that the world is currently undergoing “historic changes”, and the Ukrainian crisis has affected the structure of the world’s food, energy and financial resources and posed serious challenges to global development.
“In the current situation, China is ready to strengthen mutual strategic cooperation, coordination and cooperation with other developing countries, promote the implementation of the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, resolutely uphold the common interests of developing countries, and promote the formation and establishment of a more equitable and rational international political and economic order,” he added.
The Chinese party official stressed that strengthening cooperation with developing countries is the “cornerstone” of his country’s modern foreign policy.
It is noteworthy that Yang Jiechi visited Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Zimbabwe and Mozambique from June 29 to July 4.
