The Chinese Ministry of Commerce called on the US to immediately stop unreasonable pressure on Chinese companies, stressing that Beijing will take the necessary measures to protect the rights and interests of Chinese companies.

Commenting on the U.S. imposition of export restrictions on a number of Chinese companies, the ministry said in a statement: “The United States, under the pretext of the so-called protection of international order and national security, suppresses and restricts the activities of companies and organizations from various countries, including China.” This is a violation of the rights and interests of enterprises, destroys the security and stability of global production and supply chains, hinders the recovery and development of the world economy, and China strongly opposes this.”

On Thursday, the US Department of Commerce decided to impose export restrictions on 37 companies, including a Russian company, a Belarusian company and about 30 Chinese companies, due to their links to the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and their role in developing tracking systems. systems used by the Chinese authorities.

As a result of the restrictions, US suppliers will not be able to supply the needs of Chinese companies blacklisted by the US without obtaining a special license.
