Beijing shares thoughts on potential armed conflict with Washington ahead of Blinken’s visit.

Beijing dismissed Western reports of “provocative actions” by the Chinese army and reaffirmed that any possible military conflict with the United States could only occur because of the actions of the American army near Chinese territory.

Yesterday, Saturday, on the eve of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s visit to China, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chung Yinghua published a screenshot of an article by Bloomberg News Agency titled “China Better Listens to Blinken.”

China believes its valiant pilots and ship captains can push US troops off their shores with risky maneuvers, but it won’t like what happens if they cross the borders.

Hua Chunying attached a screenshot of the article with her own words: “For many Chinese readers, this article is a provocation. The author and editor may need a lesson in history and geography.”

At the same time, the Chinese official pointed out that “if a sudden military conflict breaks out between China and the United States, it will not happen as a result of the provocative actions of the People’s Republic of China, which will send warships and aircraft to Los Angeles.” or some other place on the coast of California.”

And she continued: “Most likely, (such a conflict) will be caused by US warships and aircraft located near Chinese territory … In relations with a country the size of China, the basic rule is mutual respect.”

This Sunday morning, China Central Television reported Blinken’s arrival in Beijing, the first visit by a US Secretary of State to China in five years, and it comes in light of a significant deterioration in relations between Beijing and Washington due to a number of issues, including Taiwan and a downed Chinese balloon over the United States; and ongoing trade and technology disputes.
