German Uli Hoeness, honorary president of Bayern Munich, said that the current situation at Barcelona requires bankruptcy and refusal to make deals at the current summer Mercato.
This summer, Barcelona are keen to sign Polish star Robert Lewandowski, the Bayern Munich striker, which has angered the Bayern club’s management, led by honorary president Uli Hoeneß.
Hoeneß ridiculed Barcelona’s attempt to sign Lewandowski while the Catalan club is suffering from huge debts and a suffocating economic crisis, noting that this situation calls for bankruptcy, not deals.
“It’s strange that Barcelona wanted to sign Lewandowski and they were 1.3 billion euros in debt six months ago,” said Uli Hoeness, quoted by the Spanish newspaper Mundo Dioretvo.
