Bayern and Juventus agree on De Ligt

Bayern Munich have agreed with Juventus to sell Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt for 70 million euros, according to German media.

German newspaper Bild and TV channel Sport1 reported on Sunday evening that the 22-year-old’s move to Bayern includes an additional €10m in bonuses for Juventus, based on some of the performance the former Ajax defender will receive. achievements with the Bavarian giant.

Bayern will use proceeds from the transfer of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona, ​​estimated at more than 45 million euros, to finance the process of signing De Ligt, who joined Juventus in the summer of 2019 from Ajax on a five-year deal . annual contract for 75 million euros.

In a statement to Bild newspaper over the weekend, Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn admitted: “It’s true that we had talks (with Juventus). De Ligt is a very interesting player.”

Bayern are keen to sign De Ligt to make up for the departure of Niklas Suhle at the end of last season to local Borussia Dortmund.
