barrel "Brent" Below $86.. for the first time in 8 months

Oil prices fell today, Friday, in light of economic concerns, and Brent blend fell below $86 a barrel for the first time since January 24, 2022.

By 17:10 Moscow time, international futures for Brent crude fell 5.01% to $85.85 per barrel.

Meanwhile, futures for US West Texas Intermediate oil fell 5.39% to $78.99 a barrel, according to trading.

The decline in the price of black gold comes in light of concerns about the demand for crude oil, especially in connection with the tendency of the world’s central banks to raise interest rates to counter inflation.
