Barcelona close to signing Lewandowski deal

José Alvarez, a journalist for Spain’s Al Chiringuito program, said Barcelona were close to closing a deal to include Pole Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich star and German football champion.

Robert Lewandowski’s contract with Bayern Munich expires next summer and the player wants to move to Barcelona.

Jose Alvarez has confirmed that an agreement between Barcelona and Bayern regarding the transfer of Lewandowski will be concluded in the coming days.

He said that the Catalan club wants to complete the deal for the Polish striker before July 12.

Bayern Munich have rejected a second offer from Barcelona for Lewandowski worth 40 million euros, in addition to another 5 million as variables, as the Bayern club insisted on receiving 50 million euros in exchange for the refusal of the services of the Polish striker.

Bayern signed Senegalese striker Sadio Mane from Liverpool for 32 million euros, up to 41 million with variables.
