Baku announced its readiness to unilaterally transfer the corpses of Armenian soldiers to Yerevan

The press service of the Azerbaijani State Committee for the Affairs of Captives, Hostages and Missing Persons reported that the country is ready to unilaterally transfer up to 100 bodies of soldiers to Yerevan to prevent an escalation.

This is stated in the statement of the press service today, Wednesday, September 14, which says that Azerbaijan “calls on Armenia for a ceasefire and, in order to demonstrate its commitment to international humanitarian law and the values ​​of humanism, reaffirms its readiness to transfer the bodies of up to 100 servicemen of the Armenian Armed Forces who died on September 12-13 unilaterally arrived in Armenia as part of measures to prevent provocations against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.”

The press service specified that the International Committee of the Red Cross was informed about this initiative.
